Our school is located in Uydukent a fast developing area of Pendik which is near Sabiha Gökçen Airport and F1 Racing Track at the Asian side of Istanbul. We teach to students at the ages of 6-14. There are about 5 to 6 classes of each grade from 1st to 8th grades. We have about 1900 students and about 90 staff personnel. Our area is developing very fast thus a lot of people migrate here from different parts of Turkey and from other regions of Istanbul. Its quite a cosmopolitan region so children coming to our school are usually from families of different socio-economical advantages and cultural sections of the society. We have a few students with special needs who have some disabilities and some of our pupils especially those from low-level income families are at risk of social exlusion and need close attention and interest. Besides these we are trying to use ICT opportunities effectively in the school education. There are computers and projectors almost in every class. We have two computer labs, a science lab, an indoor sports hall and a dining hall. There are classes from 09.00am to 04.00pm on weekdays and also optional supplementary educational courses for every grade at weekends.
